Weed whip for the lazy ass

Recently my WeedEater weed whip broke down. It just won't stay running. It'll turn over a few times and then nothing. I have no idea how to fix it nor do I really want to try. Seems like a lot of work and the chances of it getting back together after I have taken it apart are slim.

Instead of trying to find solutions online to this problem or just going to get a new one, I, of course, try to think of a new way to attack the problem. Now, I'm not really wanting to fully weed whip my lawn every week because I am a lazy ass. Even though I'm a lazy ass, I still want the trim in the front of my house to look good (especially since we're trying to sell the house).

Here is my idea to solve this problem. I would like to create a drillbit attachment to my cordless handdrill that works like a weed whip. Yes, I know that I won't get an insane amount of torque. I think that's ok. If the blades/tethers are thin enough on the end, I don't think a lot of torque would be necessary to cut through grass. I'm not talking about cutting down saplings with this thing, just grass. I don't want to do my whole lawn with it either, just the nitpicky stuff I want to do often. I'm also thinking about a plastic guard that mounts around the drill to protect the user from the spraying grass/rocks/whatever.

No idea if this would actually work, but I know it'd sure be nice for me to have right now.

If you built this you would likely have to join the A-Team and ride around in their sweet sweet van.
